SEJARAH
The Faculty of Animal Science initially consisted of 4 study programs namely Animal Production, Animal Feed and Nutrition, Animal Husbandry Socio-Economic and Animal Product Technology. However, as the consequence of the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education Ministry of National Education No. 1451/D/T/2010 dated 29 November 2010, those four study programs were merged into one study program, i.e. Animal Husbandry Study Program (AHSP) with an operating permit issued by the Director General of Higher Education No. 3137/D/T/K-N/2010 dated July 22, 2011. The missions of AHSP, which were formulated to support the vision and mission of the Faculty and University, are to developing an adaptive, creative and flexible education system in the development of animal husbandry science and technology; developing research and technology studies related to livestock science and industry; implementing and disseminating science and technology to support the development of livestock; and developing mutually beneficial partnerships/cooperation with other parties. Since 2019 until now AHSP has earned Accreditation "A" from National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), and also has fulfilled requirement standard of Asean Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA).
